Tennis has been a lifelong passion of mine. From competing as a junior and earning a scholarship at Foxhills Country Club, to becoming an LTA Accredited and Tennis Australia-qualified coach, the sport has always been a major part of my life.
My own experiences as a player continue to shape how I coach and how I support players on their own tennis journey.
I currently coach with Straight Sets Professional Tennis Coaching at Hawthorn Tennis Club and Templeton Tennis Club in Melbourne.
As Head Tennis Coach, I work with junior players across the full development pathway — from blue stage, and players beginning their tennis journey, through to advanced and competitive juniors. I also lead development and performance squads for tournament-level players, while coaching adult beginners and advanced players through individual and group sessions.
My coaching journey has taken me across both the UK and Australia, working with players of different ages, abilities and playing backgrounds.
These experiences have helped shape my approach to coaching and given me a broad understanding of player development, programme delivery and the importance of creating positive tennis environments.
At YMCA Hawker in Kingston, I grew the junior programme from 30 registrations to over 140 and built a complete player pathway from blue stage through to advanced yellow ball squads.
I've also organised tournaments and matchplay programmes, mentored aspiring coaches and helped develop coaching environments centred around high standards, development and enjoyment.
My coaching combines technical knowledge with encouragement, structure with creativity, and always puts the player at the centre of the journey.
I want players to leave the court with improved skills, greater confidence and a better understanding of the game — while developing a genuine love of tennis.
As a competitive player myself, I understand both the challenges and rewards that tennis can bring.
While competition and performance are important, coaching for me is about more than results. It's about developing confidence, resilience and independence, while creating positive experiences that keep players connected to tennis.
I'm passionate about building tennis programmes and creating environments where players want to learn, compete and improve.
Whether I'm coaching an individual player, leading a performance squad or developing a programme, my aim is the same — to help create better tennis experiences and encourage a lifelong involvement in the sport.
