About Paul Stow

Tennis has been a lifelong passion of mine. From competing as a junior and earning a scholarship at Foxhills Country Club, to becoming an LTA Accredited and Tennis Australia–qualified coach, I’ve always been driven by a love of the game and the desire to help others reach their potential. 

Over the past eight years, I’ve coached across the UK and Australia, developing players of all ages and abilities—whether picking up a racket for the first time or competing at tournament level. At YMCA Hawker in Kingston, I grew the junior programme from 30 registrations to over 140 registrations, built a full player pathway from blue stage through to yellow ball advanced squads, and led teams to multiple Surrey division titles, LTA Winter Team Trophy semi-finals, and players from the programme achieved multiple LTA tournament victories. 

Along the way, I’ve also mentored aspiring coaches, organised tournaments and matchplay programmes, and created a coaching culture that inspires both performance and enjoyment. 

My approach is simple: combine technical expertise with encouragement, structure with creativity, and always put the player at the centre of the journey. I want players to leave the court not only with improved skills, but also with confidence, resilience, and a genuine love for tennis. 

As a competitive player myself, I understand the challenges and rewards the sport brings, and I use that insight to support others on their own tennis pathway. Coaching for me isn’t just about results—it’s about building communities, growing the game, and making tennis accessible, exciting, and rewarding for everyone.
